The Sioux Falls Regional Airport Authority was created May 12, 1986 to operate the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. Before that time, the Airport was a department of the City of Sioux Falls.
The Authority is governed by the Airport Board, a five commissioner body whose members are appointed by the Mayor of Sioux Falls to serve on a voluntary basis. The current Board consists of:

Hal Wick, Vice Chairman
Tom Lien, Commissioner
Bill Dougherty, Commissioner
Dean Sorenson, Commissioner
Michael N. Marnach, Executive Director
The Board holds monthly public meetings in the main floor conference room at Costello Terminal.
