Master Plan Update

In August 2021, the Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) kicked off an update to its Master Plan. The Master Plan serves as the Airport’s 20-year blueprint for the layout, improvement, and expansion of its physical facilities. The Master Plan will identify infrastructure and services necessary to meet the needs of the greater Sioux Falls region, while supporting the Airport’s long-term viability, economic development, and commitment to be a good neighbor. The Master Plan is anticipated to be substantially complete by the end of 2023.

Public Open House

Held on March 16, 2023

On March 16, 2023, the Airport hosted a public open house for the FSD Master Plan, where the consultant team and Airport staff presented and took feedback on the 20-year conceptual development plan for Sioux Falls Regional Airport, including the commercial passenger terminal, general aviation areas, cargo area, and overall airfield. Attendees had an opportunity to view display boards to learn about the project, speak with the project team, and ask questions one-on-one both before and after the presentation.
